FREQUENTLY AS
KED QUESTIONS

Q: How will I identify you in a crowded parking lot?

A:  Look for an American Walkers' Association sign on the top of an automobile.

Q: I would like to become a member of the AWA. Where do I send my membership dues?

A:  Yearly dues are $10.00 per person, per year and should be made payable to American Walkers' Association
and sent to the Financial Secretary; Charles Hurst, 710 Carrington Place #103, Loveland, OH 45140

Q: What is included with the membership fees?
A:  Details are outlined on our "HOME" page under MEMBERSHIP.

Q: May I bring my pet?
A:  Pets are not permited on hikes.
Q: Do you have general membership meetings?
A: Yes, we have an annual meeting, usually in April. The meeting has been held for the last several years at Withrow
Nature Center. We have a presentation by a naturalist and a business meeting which is followed by a buffet.
Advance reservations are necessary for the buffet.  Details of the meeting are announced in THE PEDOMETER
and on our "SCHEDULE PAGE".  This years meeting is April 20, 2008.

Q: Who walks?
A:  We are a diversified group. Our adult walkers range in age from the 20's to the 80's and we each set our own
pace. Not everyone walks the entire planned distance.

Q: How do I know if a walk is canceled due to the weather?
A:  Walks are never actually cancelled. To walk or not to walk on a specific day is an individual decision. There have
been reports in the Pedometer of only one walker.
Q: What do I need to bring on walks?
A:  Number one is comfortable shoes. On some trails, boots and a walking stick are an asset and a water bottle is
certainly essential in hot weather. If you have a question regarding trails, call one of the numbers at the bottom
     of the "SCHEDULED WALKS" page.
